Mute on Std Radio/CD Unit

Hi all

Had a read of the manual but can't seem to find how to quickly MUTE the unit [Std unit in a VX] - it does it automatically with bluetooth and a phone call, but I would sometimes like to quickly mute the system!

Does anyone know how/if possible?

See the drawing below, while it is for a Sat Nav unit, the audio connection should be common



So connect the mute wire from the car kit to pin14 in the socket

I think Fazza is on to something, their is no mute button that i know of.

yeah i think its pin 14..

my car kit mutes the radio when a call comes in..

comes up telemute on the display of the radio

Dont know how to mute and sorry for the hi-jack but does anyone know how to "factory" reset the stereo, the one with hands free bluetooth?

Since we go the car 3 months ago the stereo has been getting very tempremental with connecting to either my Dopod PDA phone or my wife's Nokia N73.

Alot of the time it takes 5-6 times to connect or pair up with the phone, but when someone calls it doesnt go through the phone?

You might have to disconnect the battery, which will reset everything?? maybe.

If you do disconnect the battery darkhorse just make sure you have the security code for the radio handy when you reconnect the battery
