I also have the original one, this one also does away with the original factory grill guard at the front.

Hey Rob, Do you know if this fits in front of the existing TJM plate (like we both have) or if it replaces it in addition to replacing the front section - if that makes sense?
I just called TJM in SA and they tell me it fits in front of the original TGM guard so replaces the sump guard. They also say it can also be used with the ARB Bullbar. The price is $252 and they have one in stock.
Looking at the photo's on their website I'm not 100% convinced about the above and would want to see one first. SA is a bit far for me to go though.
Given the above I just phoned TJM HQ and was told there is a new one to replace the one I have plus there is a new sump guard. So, this confirms that if you have the previous TJM Gearbox and Trans bash plate you only need to get the sump guard (Part No: 077SBFUG88I) at $250. They also confirmed it's fine with the ARB Bullbar. I guess I will have to add one of these to the old wish list
TJM seem pretty consistent with their answers, just rang my local branch who confirmed all of the above apart from price - $264 for us and currently nil stock but 12 in Brisbane.
I called my local store a few days ago and was quoted $265. That comes in quite a bit cheaper than the BD (450ish) which seems popular here. My only question would be does it offer the same level of protection? Pretty sure the BD is also 3mm plate so as long as the area covered was the same then it should provide similar protection im guessing.

Pepper be careful, i think the 265 is one front plate only, their is a second plate which i and some others already have which would be another 180 odd dollars so do your homework carefully.

When I spoke to TJM and recieved the quote he did explain that the new plate covers the front section where the old plate did not and extends back to about the flywheel. I will try find a picture of one installed from under the vehicle to get a better idea as im not convinced the guy on the phone had even seen one of the new plates. Cheers for the heads up Hutch.
