Fitted, here is a few rough pics to in the dark.....
Nice work Matt, I'm picking up my new ARB Winch Bullbar next week. I see from your photo's that you have recovery/tow points - are these part of the bar or after-market ones? I currently have after-market ones fitted and can't get an answer if the ARB Bar comes with tow points or not. ARB didn't know and said if they don't then to just refit mine, but this will mean drilling an extra hole in the ARB support brackets as the upper hole is covered by the bracket.
Yeah they are the ARB ones that come with the deluxe bar. Damo tried his without them and it had alot less vibration with them fitted.
Just fit them and use the captive nut set up in the top rear bolt for the chassis, per the instructions and you will be fine.
Good luck and post a pic of it finished
Thanks mate, I'm going to have a busy week next week. I pick up my new TJM Bash Plate on Monday and the Bullbar on Tuesday. Just need to sort out when I can fit them.
the loops which Matt has painted red, are 'tow' points only and not to be used for recovery according to ARB. i used my loops in a recovery and they bent outwards.
they are actually apart of the bar fitting kit, in which it brace's and spreads the load/weight of the bar down the chassis rails. the genuine toy bar does not have these braces from memory, hence why the chassis end plates were cracking/breaking.
i have not replaced my side braces yet, but i have another pair in which i beefed up to take a snatch recovery. i can get pics if people are interested.
That does look excellent, you cant beat the ARB for looks
I was pricing one up yesterday to hopefully get fitted next week.
I specifically asked the guy, "does it have or come with recovery points" and he said no.
But he makes his own out of 12mm plate..........at extra charge of course.
The quote is $2200, winch bar, fitted, foglights in standard grey powdercoat.
He claimed the RRP is $2450.

BTW, probably sounds like a silly question but here goes ops:
Can someone tell me the additional length the ARB bar is over the standard plastic bumper?
Or, say from the centre, furthest forward part of the chrome grill to the furthest point forward on the ARB bar?
The reason I need to know is my garge is a very tight squeeze and I have only about 120mm of additional length to spare.
Cheers

Thanks mate, I was aware that ARB state they are tow points only, which is why I mainly referred to them as that in my post. The reason for my question was that I have heard a rumour that they are no longer fitted on new bars and the guys at ARB couldn't tell me. I will find out on Tuesday when I pick up the new bar. I'm curious to see if there is any way to fit my existing recovery points.
I would be interested to see pics of your beefed up side braces though.
Marc, no idea how muchy further that ARB bar sits over the normal length but it would probably be around 100mm at a guess.
Thanks Nick
Would you be able to tell me the total distance the ARB sticks out from the centre of the grill?
That will tell me because my stock pastic bar sticks out about 80mm from the grill.

Approx 230mm from center of chrome grill to front end of the number plate.
Thanks Matt.
Bugger......dont know if it will fit in the garage
Does that include the bumpers as well?
