How do you get the buggers out and do you know what globes are in them?

Mine are the IPF lights, to get them out you need to undo the nuts that hold the plastic surround in place (3 nuts from memory???). These can be accessed from the rear and you should be able to reach them from the top without having to remove the lower plates, I think mine were a 10mm nut from memory but i could be wrong. Then remove the whole plastic assembly. Once that is done I think it is just a matter of undoing the two screws that hold the lights onto the plastic surround.
I've never had any reason to look at what type of globes are in them so can't really help you with that one.

    • Mine are the ARB branded lights.
Ive had a grope around in there and there is no steel frame.
      All plastic.
I might just have to pull it all apart on the weekend anyway and have a look since I just noticed the knobs put the blinkers in the wrong way around!!!

        • Here are the instructions PradOz:

          http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...g-Instructions

The gap is caused by the bash plate fouling on the factory tie down points - just need to attack the plate with an angle grinder to fit if you have this problem.

Hope that helps - good luck with the install.

i did, but obviously not well enough. it doesnt help when there are more than one thread on same issue over and over. pity when that happens they arent mergerd into one. i thought (note to self: dont think in future) it would have been on this thread if anywhere as it is titled "ARB winch bar"

anyway THANK YOU it is very appreciated

btw, i went and looked at your photos to check your bar colour against your car, and it looks good! i was worried what it would look like up against a dark colour, but should be all good

It's more than getting it even. You should aim to have about a 25mm gap between the bar and the body to prevent/minimise the potential for damage to occur to the body panels when you go over corrugations.

I'm happy with it. Not colour coded at all but I thought that a colour coded navy blue just wouldn't be right. I know quite a few people who have had colour coded bars and it seems the standard paint job that ARB do for colour coding doesn't survive all that well. My bar isn't black but it's the standard very very dark grey that they use. SO I will call it almost black.

all went great. i just have to connect the fogs, blinkers and spotties up, looks like a job for sunday

probably would have been easier doing them before fitting bash plates but i ran out of daylight. didnt start till after 1pm, lucky i had some help from the guy i bought it from (second hand). he also has other bars, (sovereigns for prados, and others for other brands) if you know anyone who is after one. he has winches and other stuff too. i just couldnt afford the winch yet

only issue i have now is no recovery points on the bar?? i thought it was standard with it but not this one, so back to square 1 working out how to fit some now
