    • I had Arb coopers plains do my front and rear lockers. Couldn't fault them. IMHO - best money spent on all my 4x4's.

      • I got my ARB Air Locker and onboard compressor installed for less than the E Locker and I've always got the compressor for tyre inflation etc.
        Cheers, Brad

Well it looks like it's time to test out the quality of the ARB support Network! We noticed a reasonable amount of Diff oil running down my front wheel arch and onto the Chassis Rail whilst driving the tracks down at Coffs the other weekend. Clearly this was from the ARB Air Compressor which feeds the Rear Air Locker. On my return I gave Westside4x4 up here in Brisbane and booked it in for this Monday to get the seals looked at under warranty. However... The Prado was in for it's 160K (major) service this arvo and my mechanic raised his concerns to me about the condition of the rear diff oil (very metallicy colour) and a lot of play (slop). Doesnt sound good, possibly crush bearings buggered by not being setup properly, but dare say it's going to be more than this. My mechanic reckons ARB should cover the lot under warranty do to it not being setup properly? Hopefully it will be a non issue and the dealer does the right thing...

What are peoples thoughts and previous experiences???

            • Bugger. Hope they step up. I have had the oil misting as you know in a previous life. Sorry but no longer have confidence with the ARB lockers.

Hi Craig, as mentioned on the other thread, let me know how you get on with the dealer following the suggestions from our Air Locker engineers.

                Cheers, Sam.
