Home made drawers under $110. Basic measurments added

Hi Guys, this is the start of my draw project this is how iam going to anchor them in, with a hole on top so i can get to the orange button. Iam using ideas from Chippy and Mitch ,thanks fellas. The base and top i will be making out of a honey comb centred fiber glass sheeting (12mm) witch i found at work, we drove a crusier up and over a sheet to see how strong it was , it handle that fine and it is half the weight of ply. Heres a few more of the base and the top sheeting. I was wrong about the weight of this stuff it is the same kg as ply but a hell of alot stronger,Russ.

How are you fastening it together?

You can also post your pics directly from Facebook on here aswell. Just open your pic so it's at it's biggest size (whilst in Facebook) then right click, go to properties and copy the URL address e.g http://www.pradopoint.com/templates/pra ... _r1_c1.jpg
and paste it in your thread then wrap it with the [IMG] doover!! :wink:

Then you don't have to woryy about hosting your pics on photobucket and I will be abe to see them from work as I can't view photobucket pics at work... :evil:

Mitch , I think i will pre drill it then screw down from top like you have, i cut the two top sections out today and marked the anchor points ready to screw them on from underneath then sand off the top of the screws. Also i dont have access to a pc at work so at this stage this is the best way . Russ. Just read your post agian now i understand you cant view them, right i will see what i can mate. Russ.

Hi Guys , Heres a few more pics of the draw project. I have finished them but iam in the middle of making the fridge slide so i will post more pics when it is done. The draw slides are rated at 45kg.I ran out of ply so i made the base and sides of draws out of mdf witch i sealed with some under coat. Russ.

Hi NoelA, Mate i have just drawn this up quickly hope you can follow it ok. As you can see from the photos i use that fiber class stuff for the top but you could use 16mm ply witch would be better that 12mm. Iam waiting on some 60kg slides for my fridge which iam mounting to some 17mm marine ply, should be all done this weekend so i will post pic as soon as its done. Where did you pick those slides up from. They are the type I was originally looking for. Same as the ones in good quality office furniture...
