Not much protection from an X-Rox bar. Look's like I will have to go with the Toyota Sovereign Bullbar. OL offered to supply it at cost as I'm getting a lift, dual battery and snorkel at the same time.

When I spoke to oposite lock yesterday, before ordering my new bar. I asked them about fitting the recovery points, they said they will fit providing you don't use the under guards that come with the bar. As they get in the way. I ended up not worrying about the front recovery points at this stage. Will look more into the arb recovery point shortly. The ARB and OL bar is near identical, but the OL bar is a few hundred cheaper and comes standard in black whereas the ARB one comes grey and u have to pay extra for black.
Oh sadly they no longer make the "post" trade style (non fog lights) for the 120 prado. They only do the three loop in the trade style now.
Cheers

I finally had Opposite Lock fit an East Coast Bullbars Big Tube Alloy Winch bar to my Prado. This bar allowed me to retain my recovery points. It was more expensive at $2317, but it's solid, and will take a winch when I eventually get one. I chose the black ripple powder coat finish as I know I won't be bothered polishing a shiny alloy bar. The bar hardly moves around even on rough tracks, so I'm happy with the result.
Here's a couple of pics of the bar and the recovery point. The bar brackets even strengthen the mount for the recovery point as they attach back on the main chassis rails.

Thanks for putting the photo's up, I am looking into the whole bullbar scene right now and for a newbie it can be a bit daunting when you start getting into it. Ive had a look at Ironman, ARB, OL ect. The one you have there is one I was thinking too, the sales guy said I could get that shape in either steel or alloy at the same price of $1600...
Out of all the bars ive looked at I think the OL is the one im going to go for and to see your pics has helped my decision along. They are a nice looking bar. Another quick question (just came to me as I wrote this) is there any reason I couldnt fit the bar myself?

Also with OL they are having dramas with the fog lightes and the led indicators and park lights, both my fogg lights have cracked and both indicators and park LEDs on the bar both sides have water inside. Bar has been on for three years now. Once OL replaced the leaking LED indicators, all was well and it has been no problem. Still "wobbles" a bit but very used to that.Rob.
