I'M TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT WORKS BEST AS AFTERMARKET RECOVERY POINTS FOR MY 05 PRADO. MINE IS FITTED WITH ARB FRONT BAR BUT DOES NOT COME WITH RECOVERY POINTS, ONLY HI-LIFT JACKS POS. FACTORY ONES I FEAR WILL NOT CUT THE MUSTARD WHEN LOADED AND IN NEED OF A SECURE SNATCH POINT. ALL FEEDBACK WELCOME. I WANT SOMETHING THAT IS ATTACHED TO CHASSIS FOR FRONT. I'M PLANNING TO USE HITCH AT REAR AND ADAPT EVEN THOUGH THIS IS NOT IDEAL, IT DOES KEEP RECOVERY CLEAR FROM THE BACK OF VEHICLE.

It is difficult to fit the Outback Ideas recovery points if you have the ARB splash guards with an ARB Bar.
ARB have now released some 'retro fit' recovery points for fitting with the ARB Bars. I have just had them fitted to my 04TD with ARB deluxe winch bar.
Deffinitely worth looking into.Rob

I had 2 shackle mounts welded directly to the ARB and painted to match. They have pulled me out with a snatch strap with no problem. The welder told me they would be good for about 8,000 lbs. They also look tough.
