  • TJM vs Safari Snorkel

    Hi
What is the general opinion on snorkels. TJM vs Safari.
Does one perform better than the other regarding vibration, resonance etc?

    Any opinions welcome!

    Maybe try a search first

Here is enough snorkel reading to keep you going for a week http://www.pradopoint.com/search.php?searchid=536622

Edit: there are quite a number of threads in that search asking exactly the same question you have!

    Cheers Andrew

I've got a TJM snorkel and prefer the look of it to the Safari, but actually prefer the Safari snorkel's features and benefits. The Safari snorkel intake is upright, vertical and seperate to the windscreen pillar, which means water rushing up the windscreen from a crossing such as Nolan's Brook won't find its way into the intake as it could with a TJM snorkel. The TJM snorkel head can still be turned around to face backwards, but doesn't perform as well as the Safari in this instance due to the design and plain and simply it looks dicky when doing so. The Safari snorkel head turned around performs the way it should and that's leave most of the heavy airborne particals behind when driving forwards in dusty areas behind another vehicle or passing one.

I couldn't find a TJM one for a petrol model... So my options seem limited anyway.

            Thanks for the responses.
I thought the TJM looked better than the Safari snorkel also.
            Cheers
