  • colour coded arb bull bar

Was wondering has anyone had hassles with there colour coded Arb bull bar with stone.chips standing out and scratches. I am looking at getting a white colour coded bar and have been warned against the white colour on the black stone chips will stand out just after some advice or remedies thanks Corey

Yeah, White car and white bar.
I have one.....stone chips and bush pin stripes are badges of honour.
It's only the first one that causes grief.
If you have concerns then go with the black bar.
Alternatively, if you don't wash it too often then the squashed bugs, tar splots, etc camouflage the chips!

Use touch up paint as soon as you get a scratch

I have a white 120, white ARB bar and it looks awesome! Small chips are easily fixed with touch up paint if you are worried. Get the white one if it suits your Prado, it looks the part! I have done a few off road trips and it remains in great condition paint wise.

I've got a silver 120 with a colour coded bar, the stone chips do stand out a bit more but as others have said, it's just a matter of touching them up, I have been thinking about getting one of those colour matching people out to fix some chips on the car so might get the bullbar done as well.

In my opinion it's definately worth getting the colour coded bar, just looks a lot nicer on the car, I think the black/grey ones look a bit out of place.

Have to agree with everyone else so far. Just got the Crystal Pearl (metallic white) ARB Combination Winch Bar for mine and it really looks the goods. Will touch up as required if it gets chips.

I also have a white prado with white ARB deluxe bar and I am happy with it. I dont see a lot of difference to dealing with the standard white plastic bumper before installing the bull bar and I think the bull bar would wear better.

I only had the ARB Deluxe Bar in white installed back in December which repaced a nudge bar. I am a bit fussy with keeping the car clean and in good conidtions which is probably why I was happy to go with the white as I will look after it. Did 3 weeks of touring in January with some dirt roads (& camper trailer) and the white bar cleaned up well post the trip.

I wouldn't be too deterred about getting white if you like the look.

I also agree, matching the paint is the way to go.

I just had a silver one fitted on my 120 and not only is it a great bar but it looks fantastic. I am sure it will get chips and scratches but the bumper bar it replaced would have as well so I am so happy with the decision to do it.
