I can't really offer any assistance other then that there are plenty of people that have had success with the Scangauge II and the TFT Xgauge codes. I for one am running a Scangauge II on a D4D auto (2010).

May I suggest you have a beer, wine, tea or what ever and sit back and read the instructions and try again.

Before you start, check the firmware version number on the unit - you may find that the Scangauge has not been updated.

But most likely you have entered a number incorrectly.

I don't mean to offend only stating that a quick breather and a read by expose the problem.

    Good luck

Interesting. I was just on the phone to Ample Outdoors about upgrading my scangauage II to the new verion 4 bios and they assured me it would read my transmssion temp on a 2008 120 D4D auto.....
      Watching with interest....

        Hi Pinko,
Thanks for the advise, I have been using the Scangauge 11 for the last couple of years and just had It upgraded to version 4.06, so yes it has been upgraded. I have tried the 5 different sets of codes provided on Scangauge web site without success, in fact i ran the numbers through twice to check. What I am hoping for is some one with a 2008 that has actually set up the TFT so I know which set of codes to use.
Todate no one with a 2008 has come forward on any of the web sites.

Anyway thanks again for the advise

        Cheers

Hi All, An update on the Scangauge X Gauge for Auto Trans Temp. After hounding Ample they came up with another set of codes and this one worked. I have the update 4.06 and used the Alpha code listed for the 200 series, it is the first one on the page.Normal running temp is showing 70/75 degrees can anybody confirm this is OK please. Just for reference my D4D is May 2008 build.

          Cheers

I normally get around 80 degrees on my scanguage but can go up to 90 on a warmish day highway speeds so 70/75 TFT sounds about right

              Hi All,

I have gone back over my emails regarding this issue and this is what I sent back to Brett at Ample Outdoor after he did a Firmware upgrade July / August last year and it works for me:

I can confirm the Scangauge v2 using the v4.05 firmware does work.
