Deposit paid this morning and will have by end if the week - job for the weekend......

    Damm you PP....

ARB supplied brackets and fitted my ARB awning to my Rhino platform.... 2 X simple L shaped brackets and M8 bolts which screw into 2 blocks which slide in the rack slides - if that makes any sense?

However when they fitted my Roof Top Tent they elected to drill through my rack and bolt straight through and damaged/distorted my rack by doing so. I was not impressed and find it hard to believe that is the correct method of mounting on these racks. It's only thin extruded alloy after all so drilling and bolting just pinches it together and distorts.
Blue 120 GXL Lots of ARB goodies and 1 mysterious switch fitted by previous owner - I still don't know what it does

Looks like I better have a look at the ARB ones first, but I like the idea of a thicker bracket with the ability to add an eye bolt.

I'm picking up the 42103B today and will fit it over the weekend, I'll post up some pics and let you know how I go, wish me luck..

I'm fitting mine up now, but can't figure out why 1 out of the 3 crossbars is short?
Seems to go on a diagonal for the cage nuts to line up with the channels. Amts, trek did yours have 3 cross bars of the same length?
I can drill and just put a nut and washer on the back but just wondering if I've been supplied the correct parts??

                          I recently purchased a Pioneer Tray http://www.rhinorack.com.au/products.../pioneer-trays

Thought I may have an issue fitting an ARB awning, as original bracket supplied (universal) was incorrect. After a bit of research, I found http://www.rhinorack.com.au/products...-bracket_43100, and with a slight change (grinder and a drill), my ARB awning fits snug!

Really happy with the end result.

G'day Fellas... (posted this in another area and thought it might be of interest here as well... the 42107B is a good alternative especially if you are fitting a RTT.)

Just updating ya'll re my Rhino platform... after a lot of research I ended up at TJM Nerang where we discussed my need for the 2.2mtr platform.
The guy there said yeah that's OK and advised a 42107B 2128mm X 1296mm along with the SRW2D3 legs direct onto roof rails.
She's on (they fitted it) looks brilliant and very strong. Added the Front/siderail kit as well.
                            So very pleased.
                            Next the ARB bar/winch/lights/protection plates/

Thanks Dees, let me know how it holds up, Im going to look at getting something fabricated that will hold the awning and double as a eyebolt holder as Andrew had mentioned, also I want it to sit under the RR to not make contact with the RTT.

                                Hi Ymus,

Do you know if there is much room for adjusting the platform a little further back? That is, are there any pre drilled holes that will allow fitting further towards the back of the car?

Also, was there any increase in wind noise for this longer platform?

                                Cheers,

                                Ken
