Bash plate for ironman bar?

Hi forum.

Ironman at present are re evaluating their scrub bars / steps / bash plates
Due to "fitment problems"

This is common with all company's releasing products new to market from time to time.

The problem is my bar gets fitted on 12th October and I leave Adelaide for the Oon & Strez tracks 2 days later.
Is there anyoneone out there has has an aftermarket bash plate on an ironman bar so to speak?

Please help.

Hi Baggs71, I tried heaps of places, TJM, ARB, etc, nobody did them. Ended up buying some checker plate and making my own. My advice also is to get rid of the flimsy screws that hold the bottom coverings on with heavier duty bolts. We lost ours at various places along the Oonadatta Track and had to resort to fence wire, which also needed replacing at times. When we got to Leigh Creek we bought some bigger bolts and replaced all the screws that were left, and have never lost any since. I regularly check them to make sure they are tight, and always they are good. Michael

Which bar? Mine came with all the plates except between the bar and radiator and as per a thread dedicated to that I made my own.

Thanks mate. The "Ex ARB Fitter" is installing the suspension and snorkle tomorrow. I'll mention the bolts to him. He's the kind of Hooke that will most likely agree and throw the originals in the bin.

I was no aware the sump bash plate was included?
If your right then that's a bonus.

Ironman actually make underbody protection plates.. Their website states that the kit for 120 diesel will be available in November, but I contacted them last week and they said it is available now ($395)

Yep ordered mine today. 3mm plate. Three sections.
Finally sold the front bar. New bar in 8 days. Upgrades almost complete. Here is the black on white girl so far.
Stock standard 3 weeks ago. Throw $7k at anything and it will look good enough. Lake eyre in 11 days.
