If you have no record of your PIN then you'll need to take it to Toyota to have it reset / removed - $50
I then wouldnt bother with setting a PIN - its only to stop thieves stealing your radio and why would they bother nicking one??2013 Land Rover Discovery 4 SDV6 SE

I managed to get mine done for free at Toyota which was great because I sold the stereo on ebay for $20. If they are nice, they are likely not to charge anything if the unit is out of the car. They'd probably want to know that you didn't steal it off someone though. When I drove to Toyota to get it done, my dash was in pieces with the hole where the stereo was.

Hi Jason, it wont be in the log books. They didn't come with one from Toyota, the original owner must have put one in it. Some Toyota units use to be the last 4 digits of the chassis number. As amts has said will needed to be done and if the unit is ready for them it will take 30 seconds. I had to do it to my 90 after the battery was disconnected to do the cracked head. Im not 100% but Im sure I still had to have power connected to it to decode it, so it was virtually half hanging out the dash. I was lucky my mate works for Toyota so he bought the machine home with him......Cheers SteveFace lift 150 Prado V6 auto. No mods yet

Yep always give them a call. Since I'm always pulling radios out of cars and finding the customer doesn't have the pin... I call dealerships on a regular basis. Even have the script down pat...
"G'day mate, this is Ray from RanJ Installations here. Just fitting a bluetooth handsfree into one of your customers vehicles and just need to grab the radio code. What do you need? Serial number or VIN?"
I think once out of several hundred cars have I been knocked back and told I had to pay... So I called another dealership.
