You're not the only one Chester. I had ARB install my Safari Snorkle back in October. I'm very happy with the job they didn't. last thing I wanted was to muck it up and have a completely shite looking vehicle.
Yep im a big cat had it at my mates place looked at the doubt on his face looked at the size of the drill looked at the number of cans of courage we had consumed and went no F####n way
Should have seen the look of relief on his face when i pulled the pin on the job
Now it is probably being worked on by a 16 year old but at least im not watching and dont have to worry about destroying a frienship if it aint right :?
Dont list all ya mods, you will only be more upset when i get further
Yep... Pulled out the 95mm hole saw and went for gold....no hassle really with the template and some careful checking and re-checking. I highly recommend using some cutting fluid....makes the job a lot easier and saves your tools. Mask the area with some tape before marking and cutting/drilling.

Yep second the cutting fluid. And a step drill and a decent hole saw I had a cheapie and it did the job but wasnt the cleanest cut had to spend a bit of time cleaning up the edges

Yep, and step drill is very useful.. There is also no need to drill the holes so big as per the instructions. Just drill them slightly bigger than the studs and try it out. If the studs don't line up with the hole, then only go the next size up.
Oh and I forgot if I was doing it again I'd get one of those ratcheting spanners for doing up the nuts inside the guard at the time didn't want to spend the extra few dollar. When I had my hands up the guard trying to do it up I was regretting not getting one.
Yep.....I have a Prado just like you Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China My Rig BuildTowing Camprite TL8s (if ya wanna look PM me)
Well after not doing any mods for a while (getting withdrawals ) - took the plunge a bought a safari snorkel off eBay last week, borrowed the required step drill and 95mm saw hole, silaflex on hand and going to tackle this job myself this Saturday morning
just take the time and double check before drilling.....

I installed mine take your time measure twice drill once.
I also put silicone over the drain plug
I second the rachet spanner would have made the inner guard bolts a lot easier.
I just did my brothers 80 series, I'm a panelbeater so I've done a few.
On the old cruiser its easiest to remove the guard from the car completely to bolt the snorkel on!
Thats because it doesn't have a removable guard liner like the Prado.
With the holesaw, use a variable speed drill, take it easy and dont lean too hard.
Can't we just keep travelling?
