Millford Cargo Barrier Fitting Kit.

Hi guys picked up a Millford Cargo Barrier today came out of a 2009 Prado and mine is 2005 and need to get hold of a fitting kit. Went to ARB in Keilor and they reccomended that i go to Toyota which I presumme will cost $$$'s.

Any ideas where i could get one from is anyone had had the same experience. Always the same try to save cash and end up with more hassle and extras to buy

U can get a fit kit from Milford but they charge a fortune.... As I found out after buying the barrier. Full retail was 150, if u know someone that can get it at cost it was 100. Toyota would only have one for the Toyota cage I would think.

I'm really surprised ARB could not order u a fit kit!! You may have got the apprentice!! Milford will only be able to give u part numbers for what you want (but ARB/TJM can do that too)....THEY NEVER SELL TO THE PUBLIC, ONLY TO WHOLESALERS, like TJM & ARB. Selling fit kits must be one of Milford's main trades as a lot of second hand barriers are entering the market place! Milford may make the Tojo branded barrier but I'm sure it's going to be far easier and cheaper going TJM/ARB.

Like Hutch said, it's sometimes more cost effective buying new, I've seen some on ebay for around $300 then you've got to buy the kit....may as well buy new with all the warranty.?

Just went through this myself with a Milford Barrier, TJM will do them but i went to my local 4wd centre, go to the Milford website here - http://www.milford-auto.com/home

bottom right you can find a stockist

looking around the $130 for the kit.

Thanks for the advice guys ended up going to Toyota they were the cheapest and had it in stock $89.00 inclusive of GST which was a suprise. Going to fit it on saturday which will be nice and fun

Toyota had a kit for a Milford, I am assuming then the Toyota cargo is Milford one??

Doh..I paid considerably more than this. I don't get all this Toyota are cheaper at accessories than Rhino Rack and Milford (the genuines). I've missed a trick here, should have just gone to Toyota, despite buying a Milford like yourself. The ARB guy was obviously not the apprentice. Lesson for all... forget the 4wd shops, get it all at the dealers....when you want genuine Tojo parts ..start crying!!!

Hi hutch yeah the barrier is a millford one that they made for Toyota - the old main dealers can sometime be the cheapest which is suprising. Dont suppose anyone has posted a guide for fitting heard its a biaaaaaaatchhhh to get in

For those that do make up there own fit kit ignore the following but all the instructions are contained within the fitting kit. Follow these carefully and you should have no dramas??!! If your not getting the fit kit, Hutch can help you and I've a copy too
