Looks like a good little unit. Looks alot like the genuine Prado one. It should look real neat, best looker I've seen so far.

Bugger me Mav, now I am watching a heap of stuff from his store...Thanks!!

   yeah sorry about that.

Must admit it looks to be a nice compact little camera that would fit under the the rear door light panel very neatly.

        Hi Mav
I have just installed a GPS/DVD/Bluetooth/Rev.Camera Unit and was advised by all Auto Shops not to use the cheaper CMOS Units.I Purchased a CCD unit and it works fine.Apparently the CMOS units are not good in low light.Check out www.brashimports.com.au as they have a good range of Cameras.I purchased the CCD Number plate Camera for $130.00 delivered (took 2 days) all the Auto Shops are around $280.00.

I used to work at a place that sold both CCD and CMOS. Yes the CMOS ones are pretty crap when compared to the CCD ones, especially in low light. That is one reason a lot of the CMOS ones have infrared LED's to help.
I would only tend to buy a CCD one unless someone could show me a good CMOS one (which there might be as I am sure they are improving every month)

Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

one of those would be quiet handy, I almost backed over the brat from across the road again last week, thats twice now my 6th sense has alerted me to stop and found the little brat behind me on the drive. He's 5 on a 16" push bike goes rides like a mad man with no parental supervision. I'll blame the parents when he gets hit and it's going to happen, I just don't want to be the poor bastard to do the damage. It's almost like he's playing chicken with the cars when you watch him.

So how hard was it to install?

The Camera and GPS/DVD was install by Strathfield for $180.00,but they stuffed the wiring up ,which I fixed (They broke the GPS Antenna and wired the Bluetooth mike to the TV Antenna and broke a speaker connection and then claimed the unit was faulty). It's not difficult just don't be in a hurry.

This is the camera I installed allong with the double din Pioneer in dash DVD...

I'm always worried it's going to get hit being so low but it hasn't yet and the picture is awesome. Also allows a very small glimps of the tow bar which is handy for hooking up the trailer!

I might grab one of those jobbies in the first post though as they look pretty sweet and could be tucked away nicely.

Also, there is a hole in the bumper support which is the perfect size for the round barrell type camera and they sit in there nicely once a hole is drilled in the bumper if anyone was wondering?

                        Hiya Mitch ...

Thats the hole Marty uses on all the mine Prados ... to fit the round style trailer plug up out of the way ... where they don't get torn off

Would also work well for a camera

                        Cheers
