Which genuine accessories for New GXL?

The luxury car tax for QLD is now 57009 or something odd. Remembering that this is a lease vehicle, the base price for the D4D GXL Manual is $50718, so the options I want will keep me under the LCT.

So are you saying load the accessories on the lease, or pay for them afterwards?

Their are pros and cons to doing either way, i would check with the lease company as certain companys will only insure what was originally on the vehicle, ie if you get a bullbar aftermarket and smash it, they will not acknowledge that you have one, i have seen this happen?? be careful.
You do pay leases payments normally pre tax so if you spend money upfont and add into the lease you are normally paying for things from pretax dollars, it just depends how much your lease company will slug you extra per month for the extra items added on, you need to work out the total over the whole lease.

On the topic of insurance, I just got quoted $850/yr from Affinity for full 4wd insurance on tracks etc, includes 3 year new for old replacement on an agreed value of $62K inc. accessories. This includes multi-vehicle and low klms <10,000klms/yr discounts. $1300/yr without the discounts. http://www.affinityrp.com.au/

Mate, that low klms discount is not good, once you get like the rest of us you will want to drive it everywhere.

Yes I understand this, I didn't want to give the demo car back However I have another car that is novated and needs to be driven 25,000klms/yr. The Prado will sit in the garage most of the time.

I was only looking at paying for "minor" accessories, like mats, plastic protectors and iPod cable kit. Bullbar and the like will be on the lease setup.

The approach I took was to load up with accessories until I hit the luxury car tax. When I looked at paying for them with pre-tax dollars and the time value of having those funds for the three years it was the best option for me.

The company I work for now has stuffed about, so the lease application process needs to be restarted. I have now added a snorkel (ARB) to the list.
