I would also like to know the type and where u got the DRL LEDs and how you fitted them like cut out a slot to fit them behind or do the screw on the front with just a hole for wiring and self tapped into the plastic would be very interest in a bit of a rite up plse Cardinal
Amts is correct. The image of the daytime running lights (DRLs) is a mash-up image I did in GIMP. I was trying to illustrate that there is a handy little flat blank spot there that would suit the DRLs nicely. Would not be hard to do with some short lengths of 12 volt LED strip with a sticky back.
The lights strips have a sticky back so in terms of installing them you just stick them straight in there – no tapping or screwing. It would be even simpler than installing the LEDautolamps. The only invasive work done to the bar would be drilling a small hole (5mm max) through the plastic mould to run the wires. The hardest part of the mod would be pulling the bash plates for the bar off and putting them back on.
I just put “LED strip 12v” in ebay and 15,902 items came up with dimmers and all sorts of tricks, so you won’t find it hard to source some. It’s currently about $10-12 for 5 meters. After doing the DRLs on your Prado you would still have about 4.8 meters left to stick all over your wife’s car and turn it into a UFO.
Hope this helps,
Thanks.
PS I just figured out what the Rep points are, much appreciated thank you.

Glad to see some interest in the new LED indicator/park lights. Happy to answer any questions.
They will initially be used for the new 150 bar but will be available as a retrofit kit by April.
VXCruiser is correct, the RRP for Australian East Coast Metro areas will be $95 for the pair of lights, brackets, stainless mounting hardware and wiring looms.

Cheers, Sam.
Sam ,
I went to my local ARB today and they have told me that there as some issues with the LED Indicators / Parkers .
They fitted a new bar to the face lifted 150 yesterday and had to fit the old lights.
They could not give me an ETA on availability.
Can you confirm there are issues with these lights and when do you expect them to be available for purchase.
Cheers,Bill

Hi Bill, we are not aware of any issues with the new lights. If you could PM me some details, including who your local store is, we'll definitely make some enquiries.
As I said though, no one at head office is aware of any issues at this stage.
