I have recently fitted a Tracklander roof rack to my 2007 GXL Prado and was interested if anyone had an idea what the North to South roof rails I removed would be worth on the second hand market.

.......over a year ago, but I paid alot more than that from a pradopoint member.....still was more than 1/2 the price of buying through Toyota who are still looking for more than $1,400.

I'm interested in how you got the rails off without damaging them. Is there a secret to this?

The plastic covers on each corner can be ...very.....gently plied off, a wide blade implement, such as one of the wives best bread & butter knives works well. There is just 2 small plastic lugs on each side of each cover. The rest is easy.
