Tigerz11 - Ok for price or better off with ARB?

Hi there,

I am looking into a full roof rack for the 120 Prado.

I like the look and price of the Tigerz product.

I am just a little worried that the price will be reflected in the product and rust or be difficult to install.

Has anyone had any experience with them? Any advice is appreciated.

I've had my ARB roof rack for a few weeks now, one thing you have to love is the quality of it, solid as a rock. Glad I spent the bit extra, but when you consider they threw in the 2.5x2.5 awning for nothing it makes it even cheaper

Google Tigerz11 & rust. Stick with a quality Brand Like ARB, TJM or so on.

ive had my tigerz rack for 18 months, it has no rust and has been a great unit, am always walking on top of it etc

Very true MLC! I learnt that with buying op lock steel bar v ARB........ Although I saved myself $500 once you see the two bars side by side you realize where that extra money goes. So much so I'm now contemplating selling up op lock steelie and buying ARB. Unless aj is gonna start making steel bull bars aswel

To true tassie, I've learnt that over the years, better to pay a little more the first time and it should last you a lot longer (should)

Can't comment on the tjm or tigers11 but a good friend has an ARB rack thats bleeding rust. I also had a bulbar replaced under warranty from ARB as the blistering rust was forming all over it.

Sometimes expensive is certainty not quality.

lippa, that is what i was trying to find out. I know the general rule of thumb is as the Egyptians & MLC say "Get what you pay for", but sometimes the more expensive one may not be much better in quality.

If they include regularly a 2.5 x 2.5 awning then that does make it hurt less.

I am in Perth. Always on the look out on Gumtree etc.

Hey Nate, not to sure how long the awning deal is on for, but I jumped on it once I found out. 1050 for the rack then u include the $350 awning makes it a nice tasty option
