Whilst waiting for the amts bracket to get to final production version, I decided to bolt the compressor down in the 2nd battery spot as I have a trip coming up and dragging the compressor out every time I want to use it is a bit of a pain. Apart from the install location, this guide was very helpful, and using the ARB harness made the job relatively easy. Location and colour of wire connections and the requirement for fuse were especially handy, so thanks. D4D here, so I used the ignition hookup. The reason people are getting flaky connection on that green lighting wire is because the gauge of the wire is finer than most scotchlocks. I soldered it.
Here it is, all bolted up.
Mount plate is 3mm steel coated with killrust aluminium spray paint. For once, I managed to drill the holes exactly in the right place.
The only problem with this is that I have somehow managed to do such a good job of this that it will be painfull to disassemble it all again to relocate it to the other side...
