to disable the night light on the switch,
either disconnect the wire you connected, or
pull the switch back out and disconnect the blue/white wire (terminal 6 on switch).

i preferred the centre switches as their are 3 blanks and i want all 3 full of
ARB switches (front locker, rear locker, compressor)
plus everyone in the car see's my handy work.

when i mounted my bracket to the car, i also put neoprene between the
bracket and the vehicle (no movement/rubbing).

i used a special bending machine to fold bracket.
(vice and hammer, and thin cutting disc only to groove the high spots of the plate where a fold would go).

i only lost the current DIY spots when the camera decided to say goodbye.
luckily, and i did need a better camera, so now i have chose and buy.

Great post and well done on the installation. I installed my ARB compressor in the cavity on the drivers side at the very front of the engine bay, due mainly to the fact that my 2nd battery was already up behind the the cranker on the passenger side.

The compressor fits well there, and is conveniently accesssable from both front and driver's side. Just thought you may like to know of this option.

        Cheers

Having problems with my compressor. Just returned from a week in the Vic High Country in very dusty conditions (I was following other vehicles and eating their dust continually  ) Compressor was on a lot of the time as I was flicking on the rear locker a fair bit. By the end of the week, the compressor was sounding very sick. Is still working but only at about half pace. Hopefully may only need a clean of the air filter. Will dig out the manual and give it a bit of a service this weekend and see if things improve. Otherwise . . . back to ARB AGAIN!

                Cheers - Byrnsie

If you find that the air filter is blocked on the air compressor, what is the main one like on the car??
Hope there is no problems either way.

I have a K&N Air Filter which I cleaned and re-oiled before the trip.
It was the first thing I looked at when we got home. . . . not pretty.
Has now been cleaned and re-oiled again (twice in two weeks!).
I think I will be going back to a paper filter . . . at least for any off road trips.

I have a Safari Snorkel and had put a stocking over the top to try and stop dust ingress. Didn't work!

I will post some photos in the next day or so. It's a great compressor, I'm very pleased!

Well, I got home from work this arvo and got stuck into the installation. It was all to easy in the end. Just gotta tidy up some wires & bend the base bracket so I can get the last bolt in.

Install looks good. I dont think I had any room there, the later model cars seemed to fill it up with other bits.
Looks like an easier place for an install though.

                            Howdy all....

Just a thing I found on the weekend - a 22mm Rubber furntitue foot plug thing fits perfectly over the exposed connection keeping dirt and junk out of it!!!

                            Something small to share!

Nice work Matt, looks like a nice tight squeeze but thats ok sometimes. Better then mounting it under the seat/in-cab.

Looks like that spot was made for the ARB. Very neat Matt.

Hey, that's a very clean engine bay too .
