Gents I have a small problem.
    She's 4'11" and I'm married to her so I can't do things MLC's way 😱
Whenever my darling wife drives my Prado she moves the seat right forward and accidentally turns on the rear locker switch. This has happened four times that I know of and its doing my head in. She doesn't even know it's happening. Which makes it even more frustrating for me. No wonder we drink huh.
Luckily the compressor switch doesn't also get knocked otherwise it will all go bang. And then there might be trouble.
As you can see from the photo all my switches are the Carling rocker/ARB type.

What can I replace them with?
Are the AoB ones any good?
    Can you choose the colours?
    Or is there another option?
I guess I'll have to replace the little panel they sit in as you have to trim it to get these switches in, but that's ok. I'd rather replace that than a rear diff.
    Thoughts please

Have a look at post #23 of my Rig build Blake. I've rotated the switch panel so the important switches are up the top...

I'm waiting on a batch of OEM style switches to come in. They are all going to be green/green LEDs but one is going to be red/green to test out. What preferences do people have in terms of colour and the engraved graphic on the button?

The current batch is for spot lights, LED light bar and rear light in both shapes suited for 120 and 150.

I have to keep this in mind every day.
My wife also is vertically challenged.
Yes and that is why we drink.

I am using the Air on Board switches.
They work well, but the indicator lights seem to fail regularly. (3 out of 5 switches have lost the indicator lights now.) They still switch OK though. You will need to use a relay, though as they are not high current rated.

Hi Blake, like craigm said, flip your switch panel. I had the same problem till I flipped it, I also added a isolation switch as I have the Elocker. As you need the compressor on as well it sort of acts like an isolator.

That's correct. As per the red arrows...

                      How it was originally

I needed to get the file out, as the Mirror switch hole requires reshaping due to one edge of the switch being a different shape, along with the Top left hand corner of the switch Panel hole requiring some work also (gotta get me a Dremel...)

Everything fitted in nice 'n' snug again and I'm much happier with the end result. I now have the toggle switches up out of the way from the right knee and room to the right of my Compressor switch for the future Front Locker switch.

I used the newpro tech factory look switches rather than a rocker switch for my lights. Mine are gen 1 so they are blue, the gen 2 are green so keep the factory look. Would have preferred the green if it had been available (AMTS - I'm talking to you)

I solved a similar problem by building.an overhead console. many switches and the uhf got relocated to there, interior light from a commodore for up front with map lights. Prado oem interior light at the end of the console. Dvd player mounted in the end to drive the 7" monitors I mounted in the factory head rests.

                          Did I overkill it again?
