Has anyone fitted a Toyota PZQ60-00525 Fujitsu10 135000-8832A151 to their 120 series Prado? If you have, can you please share your experience. In particular function of steering wheel controls and reversing camera.

Well seems no one has, but I have now. I just bought one from Toyota Castle Hill and it fitted in very nicely. Thanks to the wiring loom adaptors that Toyota provided, my steering wheel controls work perfectly. I also bought a Toyota reversing camera and fitted it today. Everything works! I'm very pleased with the result as the head unit that I bought had just been removed from a new car that was being upgraded to a GPS version. So it was new but only cost me $450 (normally $950). The wiring connectors were $40 and the camera PZQ90-60040 was $310. The whole lot cost me $800.

The old six stacker failed. So I was on the hunt for a replacement unit.
Many of the aftermarket or name brand stereos did not really appeal to us.
I was lucky to find a touch screen Fujitsu10 on eBay local and rightly priced.
Perfect fit and powered up ok just no sound, rang Toyota dealer parts department and ordered the required plug/adapter.
Also ordered a user manual, which has come in very useful.
I would like to add the reverse camera as I have Solar Screens in the rear cargo windows. http://www.solarscreen.com.au/
Was the camera install pretty straight forward? Any comments or advice would be appreciated.
Cheers

The camera install was pretty straight forward for me for two reasons; 1) Toyota supplied me with an installation instruction. 2) my car is a 2009 model which comes pre-wired for the reversing camera. I believe that only 2008 models on had the loom.
If you had to run the cable front to back, that would be a much bigger job especially considering that you would need to get the correct connector to plug into your head unit. The instruction sheet gives a lot of time saving tips and even includes a drilling template for the cut outs that you need to make in the numberplate holder.
While the OEM camera is expensive, I think that it is worth it. It would be a much bigger hassle to buy an aftermarket job and try to figure out how to wire and mount it. I'm an electrical engineer and sparkie and even with those qualifications, it would be a hassle to work out all of those details.
The Toyota camera kit also comes with all of the hardware that you need to fit the camera including replacement plastic clips to attach the number plate holder. The clips tend to break during removal so it is great to replace them with new ones when you are putting everything back together.

Hey mate just seeing if you get a chance can you get a better picture as I can't really see it as it is so small and keen to have a look.
Also did have a USB option on the back also? Was thinking of putting a cable through to the Glovebox and plugging an iPod in there if it can be controlled from the headunit then awesome.
Thanks

If you give me your email address, I can email you some hi res pics. Uploading images to the forum is a hassle as it only accepts a certain size of file. Re the USB question, yes there is a sub port on the back of the device. It is also possible to have a remote AUX connection, but that requires a specific connection harness from Toyota. The connector and cable for the usb can be purchased on eBay.

if you want to post pictures of a reasonable size you can use external hosting sites... Create an account with something photobucket, flickr or tinypic and then upload your files to that. then you can copy the link of that photo and include the HTML tags. Your file restrictions are then almost completely gone. If you can't get your head around the HTML tags, then simply click the icon of a tree in a frame in the Reply Editor and it'll ask you for the link to the image and then it'll whack the image tags in for you.
Try this for a quick tutorial... man, it'll make posting images so much easier!
https://www.proboards.com/user-guide...serting-images
For example. I have a photobucket account and I can take this image and post it as a link...
http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/...ps27541c5d.jpg
Or I can post it as a link with a name... and also it'll take you to the page...
Prado Cockpit
Or I can use the HTML tags... the thing to remember is that I've put spaces in my tags. This is so that it will display them. If I remove the spaces then it won't display the tags as the page will act on them.
So, to post an image... you would use the tags [ IMG ] and [ /IMG ] You would use them like this...
[ IMG]http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y516/rwrschool/Prado/IMG_20140829_165524_zps27541c5d.jpg [ /IMG]
Once I remove the spaces... I get this...

Hi DJ
Yes when I installed the unit I needed to obtain a plug adapter.
This retro fitted to the existing vehicle plug and antenna socket.
The unit powered up on instal but no sound was produced.
I will check the part no. For you- stand by.SOUTH AUSTRALIA GATEWAY TO THE OUTBACK!
