Can you fit a 2007 120 SatNav to a GXL?

We enjoyed our SatNav in our 2013 120 VX and wonder whether I can get a 2ndH SatNav for the 2007 VX and fit it to my GxL? Probably a stupid question but thought it worth a crack!

I'm guessing that I'd need to install the database under the passenger seat and all the associated cabling, but wondered about the 'simplicity' of placing the SatNav into the existing radio space. Does Mr Toyoda provide the necessary cabling and power looms within the panel?

Might be better off fitting aftermarket sat nav, maybe a alpine, pioneer or similar head unit with sat nav in it already. Would probably be around the same cost if not cheaper, much easier and definitely have the current maps on it. Just my 2c

The earlier satnav had the CD changer under the passenger's seat and the DVD drive for the satnav disc under the driver's seat.

Then a newer unit came out where the CD changer and DVD drive are behind the fascia.

I think mine is out of an '14 or so.

It is all-in-one, even has divx for DVD's. Maps from what I have read are from Sensis, so Tassie forestry roads confuse it...

K. Well seems worth asking around the wreckers for a 'stand alone' SatNav unit... otherwise, might get a Pioneer or other as suggested. At the moment, the Samsung Galaxy S5 maps are working fine...but need to mount it somehow. Cheers.
