I paid 350 for safari snorkle and fitted it myself, but it is a bit of a pricky job. Cheers Phil.
So Phil if you had your time again I assume you would have it fitted by others?
The leader of the opposition thinks it an expensive piece of black plastic and I was thinking of fitting it myself to reduce the ouch effect. The big hole's the scariest bit (I think).

K & N in Canningvale quoted $690 fitted & Southern Spirit in Malaga quoted $590 fitted. now it's getting better. that was for a diesel though, not sure if the petrol would be any different. cheers Tom
Be interested to know what made you choose Airtec over Safari.
Yep, totally agree Grant is a super bloke. In fact they are all very friendly and helpful at TJM Newc.
My reason for choosing Airtec is that after reading heaps as to Safari or Airtec etc I decided there was not enough in it to prove one was better over the other. Even if there was it would appear to me to be very marginal.
Most seem to prefer and choose Safari because it has been around and is proven.
A large factor for me with the Airtec is they look soooooo much better than the Safari. Airtec hugs the vehicle better (IMHO). I don't like the Safari gooseneck.

On aesthetics alone the Airtec is a much more streamlined unit.
It also helps if I can convince the missus to buy one because ...
a. It looks so much better.
b. It's sleek and subtle (a bit like me)
c. It matches her handbag and boots.
Rather than ...
a. Here's a page of performance figures
b. It increases our fording depth by ...
c. It prevents water damage to the engine
