  • BlackWidow Vs Outback Storage

    Hi,

This is my first post on this great site. I have been a vouyer in the past as I have only had my Prado 07 GXL for about 8 Months and haven't done much offroading in it, having a young family I am planning to do a lot more in the future. I was wondering for those that have either the BlackWidow or Outback draw system, can u tell me if there are any downsides to either. I have had a look through ARB and both systems they both appear to be of good quality but that's in the shop, for those that have been offroad with them have they found them still of high quality.

    Thanks Butch

I've had 2 sets of outback draws & had no problems with either set, you can pick up some good bargins second hand, my 1st set cost me $500, they had seen a lot of use but were still good as new, no rattles or cracks, the set I got for the Prado were near new & I picked them up for $1800 with a built in fridge slide plus full Ryno alloy roof rack, 50 litre outback water tank, full set of sand grabber mats, staun tyre deflators & a Milford cargo barrier.

I dont think you can go wrong with either brand, just shop around & grab your self a bargin

I have the Outback drawers, looked at both Outback and Blackwidow when buying and found them to be much the same. Both good quality and around same price.

I've had the drawers for a couple of years now and had no problems. No rattles either!! just as they promised!

Hi, we've got Black Widow and a mate has Outback - quality is same-same. Just make sure you get your fridge slide (if you have one) on the left. On the right, some fridges due to size (eg Engel 40th Anniversary - speaking from experience!!!) won't slide out far enough to fully open the top due to the door shape.
