• Endless Air Compressor

Hi All

Has anyone heard of these air compressors Endless Air.

We run these at work, (to pump up the 30' mast on the News link trucks). I have been told they now have a kit to suit the 120.

Hopefully we maybe replacing our link trucks this year, so one of the old ones might just "fall" into my engine bay!!! lol

I know of 1 guy who runs it in his Pootrol, (even bought a clipsal digital air station, like the servos have.) He was the one wo recommended us to use them on the link trucks.

Unfortunately their website is down atm.

I havent used them, just drooled over them in the adds & thought there probably wasnt enough room in the Prado to fit one, so forgot about them. I would also like one of those modified alternators to go under the bonnet for welding & charging batteries quickly

G'day gang,

I went down the path of trying to get some info from Endless Air but had no luck at all. I have since modified a Sanden SD508 air con compressor and have made up a bracket that attaches to the head just above the existing air con comp. You also need to make up a bracket with a tensioning pulley. The tricky part is that the existing air con pulley is only a single v so you have to machine up another pulley to fit over the hub behind the existing pulley, this will then need to be fixed there, either welded or grub screws.
I have taking photos along the way so if anyone is interested I can pass them on.

I am a 1KZ so I do not know if the same arrangement will fit the D4D.

Regards
Bruce

Haven't worked out yet how to directly show the images? hopefully someone can shed some light.

Following help from Lofty I have edited this post to show the photos.

I originally thought to tension the drive belt by adjusting the threaded rod as seen in the photos, but there was not enough movement so I made the tensioning pulley.
I am yet to attach the pulley I have turned up, on to the hub behind the original air cons pulley, I need to wait until the boss (wife) goes away on camp.

Bracket for 2nd Comp

Hi Bruce, hope i can help as many others on here have helped me.

In photobucket, edit photos either with the edit link on the individual photos or click on the edit photos drob down tag at the top of the page, just above your signature.

Choose either 800x600 or 640x480 to resize your pics.

Select 'replace original' at the bottom of the screen.

Return to your album, you wont notice any change in the thumbnail image.

Return to PP in a separate browser tab.

Open the 'post a reply' to the topic you are reading.

When you want to insert a pic, click on the 'Img' box just below the space for the subject line, (just above where you are typing)

Go back to photobucket, find the photo you want to insert, left click on the 'direct link' option below your pic, return to PP, right click after the

You should end up with something like

To check your image, select Preview at the bottom of the Post a reply screen.

Big tip, if you edit/re size/adjust a photo after posting it on PP, click the refresh button (two green arrows) at the top of the screen to see the adjusted pic.

Hopefully this helps save some frustration

Hi Bruce A,

Now that you have it all working, you might like to edit your previous post so the pics show inline.

Cheers,
LFaR.

Thanks for the pictures Bruce.

It's a project I'll have to get back to one day. You have inspired me to look into it again.
