I started with just three heavy duty bars and the fitting kit - RLCP (1250mm) $410 (10% off) and a shovel holder $40 from my local 4WD shop earlier this year. This setup was used for a trip along the Darling River in Western NSW and worked really well carrying a tent and other gear (see http://www.pradopoint.com/viewtopic.php?t=3174.
A few months ago I noticed a 20% off sale at the local Auto One shop so I ordered in the platform rack (PR1811) and fitting kit (HP35) for $360 along with a large luggage bag for $240. Very happy with the service as the sale was really only for stock in the shop. I tried the rack on a trip to Canberra and again it did everything that I wanted.
As per my previous posts on PP forum, if anyone is interested in Rhino gear. I got a mate at the Rhino H/O who can get you guys a good price FYI I got the shovel holder for $20. They can organise shipping too.
PM me.
Cheers,

Self confessed PP addict!! hmm.. now thats not a bad habit is it......
I had a perfectly good gutter mount Jarram roofrack from my 90 series. The rack is only 1500 long but that suits our needs. Firstly I fitted it to the Rhino bars but to me the rack was too far forward and too high. Also I was worried about water leaks into the car given the o ring arrangement. The fitting time was about 30 minutes as I don't have the racks on all the time.
I got to thinking about how to position the rack further back without going to the trouble and expense of having the factory roof rails fitted. ARB are quite happy to sell their rack fititng kit so I took a punt and bought one. Again sealing the roof each and every time the rack was fitted was a concern. I made up these brackets out of alloy and bolted them permanently to the roof using the ARB seals and a generous squirt of silicone.
I trimmed the ends of the ARB kit and it is bolted to my Jarram rack and fits onto the alloy plates in the roof. I use stainless studs with dome nuts. The studs give me something to guide the rack onto when it is lowered onto the car and prevents accidental scratching of the roof. The rack is stored under the shed roof on a pulley system so easily 'dropped' onto the car.
Much happier and the best part is the rack only takes about 10 minutes to fit and it is easily a one person job.

I fabricated my own rack made of standard profiles (ITEM) and DIY legs.

"ITEM" Components are available in Australia.
We use some of the range at work for machine guarding....It can be $$$.
Looks Like I need to order a few different profiles in the future...
Can those who have the alloy Rhino rack tell me whether they bought the 770, 1010 or 1240 wide rack ? I am using the standard rails and will buy the 1500 to avoid covering the moon roof, however not sure if my preference for the 1240 will be too wide and including how it looks ?
