  • ARB Delux Bull bar with Lightforce Driving lights

Does anyone have the above setup?? I spoke to a guy at the ARB shop today and he was unsure if you could fit LF 240 on the bar. He said they would protrude too far out of the bar.

If you have this setup, it would be good to hear from you. as this is what I was hoping to do very shortly.

basically if they protrude past the extremity of the bar they are illegal.

this is from the "show us your driving lights" thread... they look like they don't protrude forward of the plastic stops but hard to tell from that angle.

The wires pulled from the connectors between the bar and the body whilst driving on a Camry rated dirt road.

That's my beast indeed. I will get you a photo in profile tomorrow. You have to change the mounting of the light a bit but it works a treat. My ARB store had no idea how to mount the lights properly without them hitting the grill when you open and close the bonnet or having them stick out too far. Stay tuned mate.

Had some spare time this arvo and here are the photos:

As you can see they do not protrude beyond the plastic bits on the bar at all.

You need to take the mounting bracket off the light and turn it 180 degrees to clear the grill and put it back on as in the pic below for it to clear the grill and also install some spacers under the base of the mount. You will need about 22mm of spacers so the bottom of the light clears the bar.

Hope it helps, if not give me a PM

            Big Fella,

They look the goods to me. It seems several ARB guys I have spoken to have stated that the LF 240 will not fit, yet I see them everywhere on the Arb bars. I am hoping to purchase the car this week and get the bar installed soon after. I am located in SA, where are you??

I have the exact same set up as Big Fella. However, my lights do protrude past the bump stops of the bullbar. Looking at BF's installation, his lights are fitted to the rear hole with the front hole for wiring (3rd photo). Mine is vice versa hence the overhang. Mine protrude about 5mm.

              Cheers,
              AJ

                Cheers AJ,

I am perhaps thinking ARB may be able to put a 3rd set of holes in behind the 2nd one, but will confirm once I make the purchase

                Thanks for your input

There would be no point to having a 3rd set of holes in the bar, as the lights would then hit the top tube. Mine were on the original install and pointed to the ground, not much chop if you want the distance.

                    BF,

Good point, on the positioning of holes.

Once the car is purchased I will look into the bar. Somone beat me to the car I had been researching, so it is back to the drawing board for me.

I am currently looking at a black beast at the moment, I am awaiting a call tomorrow morning in relation to it
