We picked up a Rhino Rack basket and brackets for about $380 from Autobarn at Springwood. If you know anyone with an Entertainment Book, there are three Autobarn discount vouchers.
We already have the Toyota roof racks, which I think are just rebranded Rhino Sportz bars, and the basket mounts just fine.
The large basket weighs in just under 20kg's which leaves us with about 80kg's of luggage.

Not yet mate. I'll have it on for our easter trip and take some before/after packed pics fo the site.
The rack makes the car just over 2m high which is no good for shopping centre car parks otherwise I'd leave it on all year round, Alby Mangles style haha!

I chose the Rhino Rack Mesh Basket (I think it is the LARGE) as per the web site. Main reason for this one rather than the alloy rack was for the smaller holes as the alloy rack has long gaps in it. I find the mesh rack allows me to throw things in quickly and go down the road without having to secure them everytime. ie....fishing rods can be fed through the front holes of the rack and the reel handle locks in to the bottom holes of the rack so you can quickly throw them on and drive to your favourite fishing hole :-) Likewise my fishing basket has small legs on the bottom so it can be thrown on and it won't move an inch.
The mesh also means you can tie things to anywhere on the rack. I am continually surprised at how I can tie a ratchet strap to a single piece of the mesh anywhere and even after extreme tightening I have never even slightly distorted any of the little squares.,....must be pretty strong steel.
Only disadvantage is that you can't really leave it attached to the roof racks and take it on and off as one piece unless you have 2 people doing it, otherwise you will dent your roof (did that on my old Prado). However as long as the racks are already on I can lift it to the edge of the racks and slide it on myself.
I use genuine Toyota roof racks, which are Rhino anyway and were CHEAPER through Toyota than non genuine !!!
