I'm considering getting some seat covers for the 120. I'd be interested in hearing what experiences others have had.

There are some on fleabay for $140 ATM. I wonder if anyone here has tried them?

    Cheers,

    Drew.

There were around $120 for a pair from memory. I got them only for kids so that don't stuff up fabric, etc...

You can probably get a set for whole car on ebay for that amount...

Are they a good fit? Nothing irrits me more than wobbly seat covers. :x

Do you have them in the front?

            Cheers,

I've got Toyota seat covers on the front and centre row of seats - mainly to provide protection from the kids. Went for the genuine ones so that they all matched. Both sets fit very snuggly and do not move around.

Drew, I ordered some ebay ones this week cause Toyota were talking about $600 for a set. I'll let you know what they're like when I get them. I got them mainly for the kids seat cause they reckon they still fold and move as usual and are supposed to be a perfect fit. If the front ones wear out I'm planning to get sheepskins in the front. Don't know whether I'll fit the covers to the 3rd row, I'll make sure they fold up properly still. I just thought for $140 for 3 rows you can't go wrong.

                  G'day Midge,

You must have spotted the same ones as me on fleabay. I'd be very interested in hearing how they go. I've been putting off getting seat covers but I've been doing a couple of grubby trips recently and don't want the interior looking tired before the vehicle gets 100k km on the clock.

                  Muddy tracks like this one:

                  8)

Also I've got a 6 month old daughter, and I'm told they generally get messier rather than cleaner.

                  Cheers,

                  Drew.

How do you find the fitted mats? I have been trying to get some more info about them, but not doing overly well...

Any chance of a brief review and some pics? :-)

                      Thanks GXL6 :-)

What are the sandgrabba mats made of? are they a good daily driver mat as well as a getting out and amongst it mat?

I've always had carpet mats in my cars - just that these look very practical....

                      Cheers,

                        Cool, thanks!

                        What kinda $$'s :?:

I may get the dealer to chuck in carpet mats, and get some sandgrabbas for offroad work...

The sandgrabbas are the single best purchase I've made for the Prado.

I too have a wife + 4 little ones who all have PhD's in destruction of motor vehicle interiors.

The Sandgrabbas (and a Taser) help keep my sanity - and will ensure that the interior does not look like the aftermath of cyclone in a junkyard.

I've had baby's bottles spilled + other sorts of unmentionable liquids from the kids and the Grabba's trap them all so that I can clean them up with no harm done at all.

Beware that there is a difference between them for Manual and Automatic transmissions - so watch which one you're getting.

I had one 4WD dealer trying to tell me that it didn't matter, as long as they were for a 120 series Prado. So I got him to ring QMCC. 2 minutes later and with a red face he comes back "Well, waddaya know?"

If you really want to make the interior kid proof, michalles sac seat covers with sandgrabba mats. These covers are water proof so spilt juice and anything that come out of a 3 yr olds orifice :? doesn't get into the fabric of the seat. A bit exy but worth it IMHO

Priced genuine seat covers from Toyota in hobart today- $126 for fronts, $126 for middle row. Don't have back seats in so did not get a price on those.
