Yep, after years of thinking i was clever with ropes and knots, and that tie downs and the like were for girls that cant tie a truckies hitch, i bought a couple a while ago and they are great.

Very fast and strong, long enough to go across the roof rack two or three times, and easy to use. Love em.

I still refuse to use one of those stretchie nets though

I bought one of those a few weeks before the hit kicked in. Only got it to put across the back of the wagon space and stop any crap falling out when I open the door. Might also use it across the top of any loose crap when we go over rough stuff as we don't have a cargo barrier and wouldn't want any of the loose crap bouncing through and hitting my kids in the head

I have one in the back clipped to the tie downs that covers a plastic bin we throw shopping etc. in. Saves playing find the orange after you bring the shopping home

          Re: Roofrack tie downs

We've got one and use it, but it's a bit of a fiddle if it gets tangled up. I was in Opposite Lock the other day looking at the Rackmaster roof racks and I noticed they had some webbing cargo nets there. They looked really good, but the price was over $100. Seems a bit expensive, wonder if there are any cheaper ones about...

The Rackmaster rack looks excellent. It comes with pretty solid tracks that replace the standard roof rails, and a lot of useful tie-downs and accessories in the list. It's a bit more expensive than the ARB though.

Gotta love those amateurs traveling up the South Eastern Freeway with their cargo nets on the trailer and the Blue Flapping poly tarp streaming out between the squares.
