    Re: Nudge bar preferences

    I agree with Halo....

We have a TJM nudge bar. Totally useless if you come across part of our national emblem on a stretch of road. The nudge bar is held in place by two small brackets through the front grill and would simply bend back onto the bonnet. Good for lights and aerial but thats about it.

Maybe the Toyota alloy bar would suit you or for the best protection the ARB steel bar.

This issue has been discussed may times before here. Try a search, there is a load of info.

If your going to crash into "Skippy" at 110km/hr the alloy bar would fold back too, dont underestimate the impact of a roo.. then again there have been lots of cars that have had Skippy crash into the side doors as they mistimed their "sprint" :-) I live in Alice Springs and I see a lot of bent bars :-) I have a TJM alloy nudge bar and as the car started in Sydney it was more for looks. Recently my better half was turning left out of a side street and the car infront, will I, wont I, will I, wont I... bang, he didnt...

The nudge bar took the impact well, bent the mounting brackets and they were easily straightened, his boot was $1000 to fix. I'm hoping to fit a pair of lightforce 240s to them, going home tonight to measure up the distances to see.

Hi viper I know it may be long shot but do you have any pics of the mounting brackets. Cheers.
