Rear Dust spoiler, thinking of getting an after market dust spoiler for the rear, has anyone got any info about brands and cost. Also if they reduce the dust on the back door and window. mal56

Re: Rear dust spoilers
Can't help with any after market prices sorry. But I can tell you I paid $103.95 for a Toyota one in August 07. Daylight robbery if you ask me, they're just a piece of moulded perspex after all. Had mine on since new so I really can't compare with and without. Never had trouble with an overly dusty rear window though, and I've been in some nice dusty areas.# 2007 D4D GX # Full Privacy Tint # Flinders Red # 2 x HID LightForce 240 Blitz # ARB Winch Bar # Alloy Rims # Hilux Washer Jets # Stebel Nautilus Compact Truck Horn # ARB Alloy Roof Rack # ARB Dual Battery System # Charcoal Rough Country Canvas Seat Covers # Suspension:Autocraft Bilstein Shocks/Struts & Ridepro Coils # L.E.D Side Marker Lights # ARB Onboard Air # Pirelli Scorpion LT ATR 265/70's #--Custom 3"exhaust---

Re: Rear dust spoilers
Bought one last week from toyboata (sorry top gear ref  ) for $108. went to put it on the vehicle on sunday, got all the plastic crap off it and there was a chip out of one end
Returned it to toyboata today, they should have one to replace it , in two days, I hope so, we are heading to Birdsville on Sunday
Should get a good "test"run out of it :lol:2005 Diesel Funbus Driver

Re: Rear dust spoilers
I must be missing something here. Mine was fitted to the car when I got it. After about 6 months I took it off as I didn't like the look and can't say I've noticed any difference without it. Either with dust or rain / spray.

Re: Rear dust spoilers
You must have had the spoiler that is not very good looking at all. The other is a deflector and has made a big difference with the bull dust.Manata 3" Exhaust, Blisten shocks, King Springs 50 mm lift, Poly Air Bags, Roof Rack, Iron Man Bull Bar, HID 50W LightForce XGT spotties, Daul Batteries, GME TX3440 & AE4705 ant, Upgraded window washer, Bonnet Scoop, Tunit chip, bonnet protector, headlight protector, Cooper STT's, ScangaugeII, Dash Mat, Endless Air, Stebel Nautilus, Diff Breathers, Water Sedimentor. Re: Rear dust spoilers
Hi
they do work - if you load stuff onto your roof a lot - they (like mine did) break :-( - my original one was on for 2 years so may have got a bit brittle - i often slide my boards on/off the roof (as they have covers on them and are not heavy) in doing so i slipped and broke mine about a month ago :-(

Re: Rear dust spoilers
Well we are back from birdsville and everywhere else we have been, and I love it the dust deflector (different to the rear spolier), wouldn't be without it, HUGE improvement.... love it, love it, love it. They should come as standard   :lol:2005 Diesel Funbus Driver

Re: Rear dust spoilers
Here are a couple of pics of mine dust spoiler. I would not be without it. Its job is to redirect some air going over the roof down the back window and blow off dust that will be clogging up on the window.
The spoiler is more decorative, and usually colour coded and sticks straight out the back.
Hope this helps
