Priced a Kaymar rear bar with a single wheel carrier today. Roughly $3000. Is Kaymar a quality product and worth the expense and is there any other brand that would be worth looking at?

Outback Acc don't deal direct to the public hence the reason to call Coastal 4X4 as they stock their gear. http://www.coastal4x4.net.au/?

Re: Rear Bar Recommendation?
Hi Appro
Kaymar make a great product and the quality is worth what you pay for
I have had one on my Last 3 Cars and never had a Problem . I have even used it
to hold myself against a tree on a very steep hill so i would not roll Backwards .
Maybe Expensive but in my eyes worth Every Cent .
That is my 2 Cents worth

Re: Rear Bar Recommendation?
Mark,
I fitted a Kaymar rear bar and I'm very pleased with it. Looks great and seems very solid though haven't had anyone try it out !
Try getting it from ARB, I think you will be surprised at the price difference.
Only issue is the free advertising they [Kaymar] get by the laser cut name in the ends. SWMBO reckons it looks like KMart !

Re: Rear Bar Recommendation?
Hi Mark,
you have 2 choices with rear bars for your 120. All Terrain 4X4 or Kaymar. My choice would be the Kaymar, the All Terrain 4X4s bar is fine but the arms for the wheel carriers stickout quite some way and looks odd unlike the Kaymar which has a much more thought out finnish. The Kaymar is slightly dearer, but thats what you pay for quality. My father bought a Kaymar bar some months ago and I was rather impressed. Anyhow heres All Terrians website-

Re: Rear Bar Recommendation?
Here are some pics of the Outback Accessories Spare Wheel Carrier for the 200 Series Cruiser. Not sure if they do one for the 120 but I will ask.
I like this set up as it goes over the existing bumper yet doesn't touch it. One of these on both sides of the 120 Series would be awesome.

Re: Rear Bar Recommendation?
Pics I took today of their display bar which is for a Pootrol.
Give Coastal's a call and see if they are competitive against the Kaymar Bar. There may be a retail outlet in your state also.
The bar does look the goods though. Very nice construction.
