    Violet,

I find the Scangauge is usually within 1-2L when I fill up, which is normally about 150L.

I am often within 0.5 litre accuracy at the pump but have also been out by a couple of litres - pretty good imho. So after I fill-up, lets say I put in 160.5 litres, then when I select the fill-up option on the ScanGuage, it will have estimated, say 161 litres.

One thing I have found is that there are 10 button presses between each litre displayed on the ScanGuage. So, in the example above, I would press the "less" button until I see the display change from 161 to 160. Then I press the "more" button 5 times (bringing 160.0 to 160.5, even though the guage still displays 161, though the % value does change) to help with accuracy.

My D4D is Jan 08 and yes, I have used the instantaeous consumption. Though, I've found it more amusing than useful . It's interesting when you start up a hill from stopped. The guauge throws up figures like 80 litres/100kms! Naturally, it only lasts a moment until you gain momentum.

Personally, I like to display: Speed - LHK (instantaneous) - LHC (current trip) - ALH (average per tank).

Can't help you with that one. Whilst the display on the ScanGuage is basic, all the info is there.

It is quite possible that the last digit of the display changes from 0 to 1 at 0.5 and 1 to 0 at 0.4!!

I don't know for sure, but will check and advise.

Put in Scangauge last weekend, easy to set up and use (Thanks to Pradopoint). Has anyone made any inroads into setting up extra gauges. There does not seem to be much info on the net for Toyota's (Just Prius). Might ask some techs at work if they can understand the coding and help out!

                        I can now confirm -

                        - Values entered change the last digit when that value is reached (i.e. display changes to 161 one press after 160.9)

                        - Values displayed follow normal rounding rules (i.e. 160.4 is displayed at 160, 160.5 is displayed as 161)

One thing I've never seen discussed is the lack of accuracy for the time display. I wish you could display minutes rather than decimal hours (which is rather inaccurate for shorter trips!). Haven't worked out when it ticks over either, so if anyone is feeling like paying attention (in realation to when you started a journey), please report back

The manual says "The TODAY trip will automatically reset after the engine has been off for 8 to 10 hours (as when sitting overnight). The values for TODAY will be transferred to the PREVIOUS DAY and the values which were in PREVIOUS DAY are thrown out."

wasn't refering to that, was meaning if the time gauge says "0.6" how long is that? somewhere between 36 and 42 minutes which isn't very accurate for a digital device

Got my Scanguage the other day and was thinking where to mount it?
I didn't like behind the steering wheel or on top of the dash so I mounted it where the clock/temp gauge is. I unscrewed the clock/temp gauge and moved it back 10mm and secured it to the radio chassis. I then glued a black strip of plastic to cover up the hole and ran the cable straight out the back.

                                Winston.
