Mine shows a noticeable amount of vibration but nothing unusual to my way of thinking - take to installer if worried ! :|

They all do it, even the toyota bar, the bar is bolted to the chassis, the body is rubber mounted to the chassis, so what you have is the body moving around on the chassis which gives you an impression that the bar is moving, you get used to it. I don't even notice mine anymore.

Passengers who have never been in my car before comment on it.
This is also why there needs to be fairly large gap between front mudguard and bullbar - to avoid contact.

Had a Deluxe bar installed two weeks ago. It moves and vibrates. Talked to the boys from ARB about it. They've said it is normal. They've checked all the attachments anyway and did not find anything wrong.

The vibration also tends to facture or break antennas hence why mine is mounted on the roof rail

Thanks for the replies. I checked the locators and they're all tight so if it's not any different to anyone else it must be right!

I would assume that you would be more likely to brake an aerial when mounted on roof rail rather than when mounted on bullbar because as previously mention it is actually the car body shaking around [which the roof rails are attached to]on the rubber boby mounts rather than the bullbar as this is fixed to the chasis which is not moving around [as much].
I think there would not be too much difference either way

Interesting theory but wrong in practice. There's a thread on it from last years GTG about all the bar mounted antennas that broke.

Those piddly metal aerials with the coil at the base will vibrate back and forth until they snap off right at the base.

And so will your spotties if they don't have a half decent mounting system.
