Hi all, just to come back on a thread I posted earlier, does anyone know if there's HF tabs on the bar tubing. I am interested to know if UHF aerials etc can be mounted on the bar tubing. I did see in the picture from QLD the aerial was mounted on the side of the bar where it sat near the front guard.

Can anyone confirm if there's tabs on the top of the bar?

Don't think any 120 bars come with tabs on bar tubing due to fouling on bonnet when opening. Think this is covered on other threads.

HI all...whats the main difference between the Type 15 Steel and type 15 Alloy bar.

Also is it better to go for a type 13 Steel (we only get the old type here still) or type 15 alloy bar.

What are the disadvantages of the alloy bar compared to a steel bar.

I kenya we do not get the ARB bars but only get the TJM and than other chinese made bars.

I was told by TJM that the type 15 bar only comes in alloy even though it states alloy and steel on website. May only be the case for Prado 120 bars.

Have just been getting quotes for the T13 Outback Bar in Canberra.
Supplied and fitted $1270, I think thats pretty good. includes fog lights and winch mount. (ARB quote was $1920 with fogs supplied and fitted)
Also I talked to TJM and they have said the first shippment of bars will be in Aust on the 30th of July.
They said approx 140 bars will be on the first shipment, and that there is already a backlog of bars.
So if you are thinking of getting one, i would put your order in soon, so you can get in on the first shippment.
I will be putting my order in tomorrow.

Well, still waiting for a new bar. I put an order in with TJM for the bar, which I was advised would be available mid July. It's now August (just, I know), I've been in contact with the store to determine when the bar would be available for pick up. I was told the bar hasn't been released because of some problems with the first batch (the sales person didn't expand on what the issues were/are) and the bars have been sent back for more R&D.

Does anyone know what the issues are and if anyone has one of the new bars. They were also unable to advise when the new bar would be available.

Any ideas, knowledge would be appreciated.

I also have one on order.
They have told me that they had problems with construction at the factory and that they have been delayed, should be here by 3rd week of August (so they have told me).. They did not say anything to me about sending them back because of a fault.
I think i will be giving my local dealer a call tomorrow to find out exactly whats going on.

TJM had my vehicle again last week to test fit the first bar built in the offshore factory. They have just been delay because they wanted to make sure that everything was good with this bar before they send a big shipment over. I have been told that they are know happy with the fit of these bars and they will start to ship them early aurgust. Because ther is about three weeks shipment and a week in means that they will be here late August. This bar is defenatly worth the wait and I think most of you will agree when you finally get them fitted.

Well I have the new bar on order, should be delivered on monday and on the car by next weekend... here's hoping anyway. Got it for $700 in all, fitting it myself with the out-law so pretty good deal on my behalf.

Will post piccies when it all comes together.

This is after ordering the bar in early June, first they said it would be here early July, then mid August. Now early to mid September. All I can say is it better be a good bar.. it would be nice if they chucked in a snorkel for my troubles..
I know that wont happen though..

is the production bar any different to the prototype bar, if it is any chance of a picture? I was told the new bar would have 2 aerial brackets.

Bit of a bugger the delay..... again... especially as paid for the bar upfront.

So are they sending the next shipment straight away, or are they being knobs like always (other companies do this too) and do the next shipment in a few months time.
