ARB delux bull bar ratteling

Hi guys..

just fitted the ARB delux bull bar and i couldnt help notice it while driving on off road...it moves or vibrate...just wanted to know if its a common thing or was it fixed wrongly?!

I think theres another thread somewhere on here about this that i saw a while ago. From memory i think it has something to do with the body moving slightly on the body rubbers so its the body moving on the chassis not the bar moving.
And yes my 120 with ARB bar does this as well.

The bar is fixed hard to the chassis so what you are seeing is the movement of the body, supported on rubber, in comparisson to the chassis.This is normal with all bars as it now gives you a means of focusing on the chassis movement. The only issues is when the bar is mounted too high then you can get contact between the bar and the body due to the movement.

The "jiggling" is a lot more noticeable on the Prado than any other 4WD I've owned ( Landrover and Holden Jackaroo) - all with ARB bars.
I guess people like a low NVH ride these days, hence bigger/softer rubbers.
