Bullbar recall - new winch cradle

Your right. But have to order it.
The dealer wants to know if it needs any modification to the bar or car to fit it.
If it is straight bolt on whist the bar is off for the recall they will fit it free.
If not there will be a labour charged.
Can any one help me, with an answer?

As Andrew said, it bolts str8 on while they have the Bullbar off, that's why I suggested it when we spoke about it.
Also you will be able to fit the winch in afterwards, you may have to loosen some of the bolts to get te 4 winch bolts through.
If they were to charge you about $50 I think that would be fair, but I believe they get paid fair time to do recall and could easily not charge you.

I guess what anyone wanting a genuine Toyota winch cradle needs to note is:
Don't use the part number on the Bullbar.
Advise the dealer it has been superseded.
Possibly suppy the correct part number to the dealer.
After all they are only Toyota dealers :-)

Thanks all for your help, I have located one using the new part number. You would think Toyota's system would be able to reference the old part to the new...

I can confirm that Toyota still haven't sorted their part system search out. I enquired yesterday about the soverign bull bar winch mount, and was told PZQ29601WC is the part and that it has been discontinued (no reference to any other replacement part numbers), and it wasn't until I found this thread that I noted the correct part replacement number is PZQ29602WC. Called my local dealer again today and gave him the revised part number, and what do you know... "Oh yep, we can get hold of those".

On another note, as I bought my prado 2nd hand, how can I tell if the bullbar has had the recall work done on it?

The Toyota dealer can tell you that, it will be on the service record data base if it has had the recall done.

They told me at the counter, said I still had a recall on my car, I assumed it had been done.

I rang a couple of dealers yesterday to get a price on part# PZQ29602WC. Well to say I was surprised at the price difference is an understatement.
A dealer in The Nth of Adelaide quoted $236 from Melbourne and a dealer in Adelaide city quoted $370 from Melbourne. That is a blatant rip off from a large reputable dealer who will not get a red cent from me.
With pay day next week, I think I'll ring the northern dealer and organise my winch cradle when the pay hits my account .

Hey Gramps - would you please send me the contact details of the Dealer in the north of Adeailde as I'd like to get hold of one of the cradels . Called the guys at hornsby Toyaota and they didnt ahve any stock so not sure how whether he was looking at wrong part or just none in system .

Stocks of the winch cradle are held in Melbourne warehouse. Make sure you quote them the correct part number and don't get them to look it up or the system will go looking for the ....1WC part number, as opposed to the ...2WC.

I don't feel so bad now, bought a new winch cradle from the local dealer recently, $232 from the mainland. I must also thank you guys for the correct part number, the parts guy of course looked it up on the system and came up the 1wc, when I suggested he check 2wc he did and couldn't believe that it didn't come up on the first check. Just got to wait for the purchase of the winch so I can fit it now.

Bucket - which winch are you looking at if you dont mind . I spoke to the guy at Hornsby and he said the cradle was for super winch . Was wondering if that was just the Toyota standard and there was more product that would fit in the cradle ?

Lots of winches will fit. Some will require a rotation of the gearbox. Superwinch is the brand that Toyota sells.
