prado 2007 genuine racks

how do i take the genuine racks off the prado i am fitting a full roof cage system to it
any help appreciated thanx

Hi Ken,

This has been covered many times before..... but it appears our new forum format is not searching back into the old threads yet.......

Basically, the 4 end caps have 2 small clips on each side on the bottom edge, which can be releasede (very gently) with a knife or small screwdriver by leavering outwards until they let go (maybe a 1mm or so)
The 2 centre caps are similar and split from the middle, outwards.

Once the covers are off, the rest is straight forward.
Make sure you waterproof (seal the bolt holes once removed though.
