  • Rear door wont open

Hope someone can help before I go to Toyota, have just returned from my 3rd trip Outback (10,000k's).
Anyway on the way home had trouble opening the rear door and for the last week of the trip it wont open at all.

So how do you open it ?????, any help appreciated.

Will it open from the inside.?
Sounds like one of the linkages on the handle or catch has disconnected itself.!
Warranty issue or if out of warranty you will have to take the rear interior panel off the door and have a look. Fair chance it's something simple.
    Good luck either way.

After an outback trip eh? There's a fair chance she's dropped and it needs a real huge yank to open it.

Let us know how you get on.

Sorry for hijacking the thread... but I always wonder about the durability of the rear door with a spare steel wheel (GX model only). Is there a potential problem having the heavier steel wheel hanging off the rear door... or would it be better optioning the GX with the alloy spare?
