  • Exterior door trim - clips broken?

    Hi All

For some strange reason which i cannot understand how, 2 of the clips which hold on the exterior trim on the bottom of the passeneger door have broken their heads and so the trim is drooping and catching on the leading door edge.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a pain to replace these?

    Cheers

hey Stew, had a similar issue. Seems pretty common for the clip to break. Toyota said they sell heaps of them when I was in there getting mine.

thanks andrew. I got the dealer to fix it up for me as it looked like a real game to do and knowing me i would end up breaking more of them, cost me $185! in the end for a new mounting kit.

yeah i know, if it was my old forrester i would have had a hack it or glue it all up, but the prado is in great condition so this wouldnt have done it justice. And i figured it would need to be properly fixed for when we start off roading as a bit of glue aint gonna cut it!
