Factory tinted windows and use of on-glass antennas

G'day all,

Does anyone know if the tint in the factory tinted side windows contain metalised film or non-metalised film?

The reason I ask is that I propose to install a few on-glass antennas on the rear side windows, mainly for VHF, UHF and cellular. I've used these on other windows in the past with moderate success, but not on tinted windows where the film is metalised, which causes extra attenuation of RF signals.

Factory tint is a dye in the glass, not a film. There should not be any metallic elements in the tint.

Window tint

Worse comes to worse stick the aerial on the top left of the windscreen. out of the way there as well.............
