    Gday Eric,
You may be posted in the wrong spot here.!! (maybe a mod can relocate)

As for the DAC there is no way to use incorrectly. You will need to be in low range and on a decent downhill slope for the DAC to be of any assistance though. You will soon know if it's working or not.
The HAC should work anytime, I've even had it activate by letting it roll backwards on a speed hump in a car park. 8)

Let us know what yours is doing.

    Cheers
    Justo

      Thanks for reply.....

      Thanks for the reply

Regarding HAC, I found if the slope is more than 30 degree, it is struggle to more uphill, Is it normal ?

Do you know if there is any uphill slope limit for this function, or your experience...Tks

Sounds a bit unusual.! The HAC system still allows it to move backwards a little but does slow it down on mine anyway. It shouldn't interfere when you start moving forward though.!

          Justo,

Does your DAC on a forward facing slope make your brake pedal sound and feel like a machine gun firing ie on/off but really fast ( not sure if i'm giving a good description). I found this out on the weekend as i normally use low range 1st gear when going down steep slopes/rock crawling. To me using the gears seems alot smoother and more comfortable. Is this how the DAC should feel or is there something wrong with my DAC??

          Thanks

When using DAC you should NOT be touching the brake pedal as it upsets its performance.

Try it without using the brakes that is how it is meant to be used according to the manual.

It does make a bit of noise from under the bonnet from the actuators applying different braking to each wheel.

My DAC is quite smooth, Without comparing it to yours I couldnt say how it is working.

The HAC is only meant to hold a brake "lightly" on for a few seconds to allow you to drive off without rolling back, mine works fine on slopes.
Are you expecting a hold for a longer period of time? It fades off if you dont move forward and you will start rolling back.

I don't often use it, but if its a steep rocky downhill you can't do it as good yourself and despite the sound it is quite smooth when left alone to do its thing. Team Piggy is spot on, applying the pedal yourself upsets the performance of the DAC but yes if you do apply the brakes it feels pretty much how you described it. So it sounds like yours is working normal to me.

Thanks guys, i was more surprised at actually how noisy the system was. I only touched the brake pedal very lightly to see if it would make any difference to the noise and true perhaps i should have read the manual once more. The system itself works very well and does slow the truck down very effectively just not the way i was expecting. i thought it would have been smoother. From what everyone is saying though it appears to be working as intended.
