  • ARB Underbody Guard

I have booked into ARB to have a Brown Davis underbody guard fitted next week, but received a call from ARB saying that they have developed their own branded guard and would I be OK with them fitting this instead. A couple of questions.
Has anybody had the latest ARB underbody guard fitted recently?
Do they have an oil drain hole manufactured into them?
Are you happy with the quality/workmanship?

I've only seen pictures but I think they look better. And from what I understand they're a hell of a lot cheaper...

      I didn't think ARB had a 120 guard only 150...

Interesting that it's stated that the plate needs to be removed for servicing? I would prefer to see removable access plates for the oil changes rather than fully removing the bash plates

I asked the guy if it had a drain hole for oil changes but no reply yet. Mine is definitely a 120 and that's what he's fitting it to! I believe the Brown & Davis original guards didn't have a drain hole but the more recent ones do?

Yup I've seen his bash plates on Fozzy's Prado. Verrry nice and I'm still swayed towards his design. But I am interested in seeing what ARB has developed and I was surprised about their competitive pricing too. I'm not that keen on ARB's beige powder coating. I guess their ARB branding will stand out better that way...

Yea I agree not a fan of the colour that the arb ones come in, will be interesting to see if they go as far back as AMTS's ones, his are very handy having the access points for the front diff and sump. Good luck with it :-) always fun!

I tossed up these and the brown Davis ones but in the end went with amts, due to a few more features, I like his have the bolt protectors and the good size access points for the sump and diff.
