noisy front vent

I have a problem with a noisy front vent. If I have the air on external it is ok, if I select recirc it is very noisy. I'm guessing something is stuck in there somewhere. Anyone know how to get at it to check? Apologies if this has already been answered, a search resulted in no help.

Excellent, thanks very much, culprit was a clear plastic chocolate box layer cover. No idea how it got in there, also gave the filter a good clean.
