Hello Neil, I don't know if you can compress the spring enough to move the collar up far enough to move the clip whilst it is on the car. I am sure some of the other guys on the site could advise. I just asked the guy who fitted them to set it on 3 when he fitted them. The difference between the bottom and top rings is about 14 mm. I had them set on the bottom on my previous car and I always thought it was a bit lower on the front than it should be. The setting now is very good and is closer to retaining the standard ride height variation from front to rear. The airbags do lift the rear a little as well. You can see from my measurements on the Suspension 2 thread. I don't think going for heavier springs will make the difference. I have a set of raised Kings springs to fit when I go to the Cape later this year. They don't seem to be any longer so I assume they are stronger and therefore the car doesn't sit as low. So raising the collar on the Bilsteins would be the best way to balance the ride height of the front in relation to the rear. You still retain the ride quality.
